How to set up Meta Tag Rules for your website?

If you do not want to set up all the pages with same meta tag and meta description, don't worry, SEO Suite app supports Meta Tag Rules for specific pages.

In this article, we guide you how to use Meta Tag Rules. Let's get started!

Firstly, click the Toggle button to enable the app. Note: Enable Meta Tag Rules means disable the Meta Tags Setting.

##Step 1: Add product rules

To add Meta Tag rules to the product, go to Meta Tag Rules > Add rule > Product

1.1. General setting

  • Enabled: Click toggle button and click Save button to apply the rule
  • Name: Enter a name for the rule
  • Priority:
  • Enter the priority number to apply the rules
  • The smaller number means the higher priority
  • If not entered, the priority is 0 by default
  • With the same priority, the rules created first will be applied first

  • Meta Title: Enter the title text for the meta tag you want to add to the product page. See suggested variables in the right column.
  • Meta Description:
  • Enter the text you want to describe for the Meta tag
  • Click More examples to see more examples of Description
  • Override existed data: Check to override existing meta tags by the new ones .

1.3 Where to show

  • If All is selected, the rule will apply if all conditions are true
  • If Any is selected, the rule will be applied when there is at least 1 true condition
  • Click Add condition to add conditions for the rule
  • Click the delete icon to remove condition from the rule

##Step 2: Add Collection rules

To add Meta Tag rules for collection, go to Meta Tag Rules > Add rule > Collection

  • Name: Enter a name for the rule
  • Priority:
  • Enter the priority number to apply the rules
